03- Razer Blade 15 Base – Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU with 8GB VRAM Gaming Laptop for 2500

Specifications Description
ProcessorIntel Core i7-10750H
Graphics CardNvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU
VRAM16GB
Storage256GB/512GB/1TB
Display15.6-inch, 2560 x 1440-pixel, 165Hz
DesignSleek and professional

One of the key selling points of the Razer Blade 15 is its sleek and professional design, with a black aluminum chassis and glossy green logo.

The laptop is lightweight and slim, making it easy to carry around. The display is another strong point, with a 15.6-inch, 2560 x 1440-pixel, 165Hz display that provides solid vibrant colors and smooth graphics in games.

However, the display’s lower than average brightness of 271 nits can make it difficult to see in dark scenes or with glare. Additionally, the laptop can get hot under pressure, with temperatures reaching up to 115 degrees Fahrenheit.

This can be uncomfortable during extended use, especially since the keyboard and touchpad can also get warm.

Speaking of the keyboard, the Razer Blade 15 Base Edition does not come with Razer’s optical keyboard, which can lead to typing difficulties.

The keys have low key travel and are tightly spaced, leading to mistyping. This can be frustrating when typing or gaming for long periods.

One downside to the Razer Blade 15 is its battery life, which only lasts for 4 hours and 36 minutes on the battery test. This is lower than other gaming laptops like the Aorus 15G and Asus TUF Dash F15.

Despite these downsides, the Razer Blade 15 has a powerful Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU with 8GB of VRAM, and an Intel Core i7-10750H processor with 16GB of RAM.

This means that it can handle multitasking with ease, and can run games like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Shadow of the Tomb Raider without any problems.

Other features of the Razer Blade 15 include a standard black aluminum deck, top-firing speakers, a large touchpad, and a webcam placed on top of the display.

The laptop has thin display bezels, making it look modern and stylish. However, it is not as light as the Asus TUF Dash F15.

In conclusion, the Razer Blade 15 Base gaming laptop is a great choice for gamers who want a lightweight and slim laptop with a good display and powerful specs.

However, the downsides of the low display brightness, hot temperatures during extended use, and cramped keyboard may make it less appealing for some users.

The Razer Blade 15 has come a long way from previous models, with improvements in performance and design. Overall, I believe that the Razer Blade 15 is the best gaming laptop for $2500.

PROS

  • Sleek and professional design with a black aluminum chassis and glossy green logo.

  • Excellent 15.6-inch, 2560 x 1440-pixel, 165Hz display with vibrant colors and smooth graphics in games.

  • Top-firing speakers, large touchpad, and webcam placed on top of the display.
  • Improved performance and design compared to previous models.

04- Asus TUF Gaming F15 – Best Laptop Under 2500 with 12th Gen Intel CPU & RTX 30

Specifications Description
ProcessorIntel i7-11370H 4-Core
Graphics CardRTX 3070 8GB GDDR6
RAM24GB DDR4
Display15.6″ 240Hz FHD
Storage1TB PCIe SSD
Battery Life7:35 at 165Hz and 8:34 at 60Hz in non-gaming Battery Informant tests

I can confidently say that Asus TUF Gaming F15 is a solid choice for gamers on a budget. With its 12th Gen Intel CPU, RTX 30 series graphics, and up to 360 Hz refresh rate, the laptop offers impressive specifications at an affordable price point.

Design-wise, the TUF Gaming F15 has a masculine, gamer-like look with a gunmetal grey shell and vent-filled chassis.

However, the plastic covering on the bottom deck feels cheaper than other options to cut costs. The keyboard deck has shifted to the left to make room for a full number keypad, which makes the laptop larger and heavier at 4.85 pounds.

One of the standout features of the TUF Gaming F15 is its display, which comes in 15.6-inch options with a QHD panel at 165Hz and an eSports-centric FHD screen with 300 Hz refresh rate.

The display has a brightness of 330 nits and reproduces 79.5% of the DCI-P3 color gamut with a 0.32 Delta-E color accuracy score. However, the limited contrast ratio of the display makes it less high-end, with some scenes appearing bloomed.

The keyboard on the TUF Gaming F15 offers a nice, quiet switch and tactile snap and bounce, but the lighting is basic and not ideal for nighttime gaming and/or working.

The touchpad is generously massive in size, but the soft click may be a drawback for some users. The laptop also has a number pad that is great for in-game macros and data entry, but it makes the deck feel cramped.

When it comes to performance, the TUF Gaming F15 offers great gaming capabilities for the price with its RTX 3060 GPU and stellar internals.

In gaming benchmarks, the laptop beats out the Alienware X14 and comes close to the ROG Zephyrus G15 in 3DMark tests and games.

By using Turbo Mode and the MUX Switch to increase the TDP and TGP, the laptop can further improve its frame rate and ray-tracing performance.

The TUF Gaming F15 has an Intel Core i7-12700K CPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD, which can handle intense workloads with ease.

Additionally, the laptop has impressive battery life, lasting 7:35 at 165Hz and 8:34 at 60Hz in non-gaming Battery Informant tests.

However, its transfer rate of 607.6 megabytes per second is a weakness in its build compared to its competitors.

Overall, I believe that the Asus TUF Gaming F15 is a great gaming laptop for everyday work without the fear of draining the battery.

While there are some compromises made in design and display quality, the laptop offers solid performance for the price and is definitely worth considering for budget-conscious gamers.

PROS

  • Impressive specifications for the price point, including 12th Gen Intel CPU, RTX 30 series graphics, and up to 360 Hz refresh rate.
  • Standout display options, including a 15.6-inch QHD panel at 165Hz and an FHD screen with 300 Hz refresh rate.
  • Masculine, gamer-like design with a gunmetal gray shell and vent-filled chassis.
  • Great gaming capabilities for the price, with an RTX 3060 GPU and stellar internals.
  • Intel Core i7-12700K CPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD can handle intense workloads with ease.
  • Impressive battery life, lasting 7:35 at 165Hz and 8:34 at 60Hz in non-gaming Battery Informant tests.
  • Number pad is great for in-game macros and data entry.

CONS

  • Plastic covering on the bottom deck feels cheaper than other options to cut costs.
  • Limited contrast ratio of the display makes it less high-end, with some scenes appearing bloomed.

The edge-to-edge RGB-lit keyboard and spacious touchpad exude an unparalleled level of comfort, while the webcam’s privacy shutter showcases thoughtfulness beyond compare. Additionally, its lightweight and compact build ensures easy portability.

The 15.6-inch display offers a chromatic and seamless spectacle, featuring a 240Hz refresh rate and exceptional color gamut coverage.

However, it doesn’t emit as much luminance as some other laptops in its league, making it somewhat arduous to use in brightly-lit settings.

Although the keyboard is quite comfortable to use, I found the keys to be too supple for my liking. The touchpad is highly responsive, albeit with stiff clickers.

Nevertheless, the Aorus Control Center allows for ample customization options for the keyboard lighting, while the touchpad supports Windows 10 gestures.

The laptop’s performance is undoubtedly its most alluring aspect. Equipped with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Max-Q GPU, an Intel Core i7-10870H processor with 32GB of RAM, it can seamlessly handle demanding applications and multitasking.

Its ability to effortlessly run games such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Borderlands 3, with exceptional graphics, left me in awe.

Overall, in my estimation, the GIGABYTE AORUS 15G XC gaming laptop is an excellent choice for serious gamers who prioritize performance over other factors such as battery life and heat management.

It is powerful, sophisticated, and compact, making it an exceptional option for those who desire a high-performance laptop that is relatively easy to carry around. However, individuals who don’t intend to use it for gaming may find its capabilities excessive for their needs.

CONS

  • The laptop doesn’t emit as much luminance as some other laptops in its league, making it arduous to use in brightly-lit settings.
  • The battery life is rather fleeting, and it tends to overheat when running games, which can be disconcerting.

Things To Consider When Buying A Gaming Laptop Under $2,500

Gaming laptops have become more popular over the years, and with the increase in demand, there has been an influx of models from different manufacturers.

However, before making a purchase, there are certain factors to consider to ensure that you get a laptop that meets your gaming needs.

Below are some of the factors to consider when buying a gaming laptop under $2,500:

Display Resolution

When looking for a gaming laptop, one of the first things to consider is the display resolution. For a budget of $2,500, you can get a laptop with a 1080p or 1440p display.

While a 1080p display is suitable for most gamers, a 1440p display offers better image quality and is worth considering, especially if you want to maximize FPS in competitive gameplay.

Processor

The processor is the brain of your laptop, and it is essential to choose a powerful one. Intel Core i5 processors are too weak for this price range, while Core i7 or i9 processors offer the best performance.

A powerful processor will ensure that your laptop can handle demanding games without lagging or freezing.

Graphics Card

The graphics card is another important component to consider when buying a gaming laptop. It plays a vital role in controlling gaming performance, so it is important to choose the highest settings of the graphics card for long-term benefits.

A high-end graphics card will ensure that you can play the latest games at high settings with smooth frame rates.

RAM and Storage

A good gaming laptop should have more than 16GB of RAM for optimal performance. Additionally, it should have at least 256GBs of storage space, but if possible, go for 512GBs or even 1TB. Consider a laptop with an SD card reader for additional storage space.

Design and Portability

The design and portability of the laptop are also important factors to consider. A compact, lightweight laptop, such as one that is 16-18 inches, is convenient for travel. Also, look for a laptop with a good cooling system to prevent overheating.

Keyboard and Audio Quality

A firm keyboard with anti-ghosting for powerful combos and backlit for playing in the dark is essential. Audio quality is also crucial for an exciting gaming experience, with Nahimic audio software providing the best sound.

Accessories and Warranty

Don’t forget to factor in the cost of accessories such as a gaming mouse or external hard drive. Additionally, consider the warranty

Final Words

I must say that I’m impressed with the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15. With its powerful 10th Generation Intel Core i7-10875H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super graphics card, it delivers lightning-fast performance and stunning 4K picture quality for an immersive gaming experience.

However, the Acer Predator Helios 300 is also a great option for those who prefer fast-paced action games. Its high refresh rate screen provides smooth and seamless gameplay, and its sleek and stylish black aluminum design with an illuminated Predator logo on the lid is sure to turn heads.

Lastly, the Razer Blade 15 Base also stands out with its sleek and professional design. Its black aluminum chassis and glossy green logo give it a unique look, and its lightweight and slim build make it easy to carry around.

Ultimately, the best gaming laptop under $2500 will depend on your personal preferences and gaming needs. But if you’re looking for top-of-the-line performance and immersive graphics, the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15 is a clear winner in my book.
