Best Gaming Laptops For Genshin Impact -Recommended Specifications

Paying attention to the official system requirements for Genshin Impact is essential for any gaming enthusiast. Since laptops have smaller chassis, their graphics cards and processors may not be as powerful as those on desktops.

However, users can enhance their laptop’s performance by levelling up the SKU. Meeting the recommended system requirements is crucial for an enjoyable gaming experience.

It’s best to avoid minimum requirements as they may result in low FPS, even on lower graphical settings. To help readers find the right laptop that suits their needs, my article provides suggestions for laptops with different resolutions, prices, and power levels that can run Genshin Impact smoothly.

01- ASUS ROG Strix G15 – Best Gaming Laptop For Genshin Impact

Specifications Description
ProcessorAMD Ryzen 9 5900HX
Graphics CardNVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
Storage512GB PCIe NVMe SSD
VRAM16GB DDR
Display15.6” 144Hz IPS Type FHD

I had the opportunity to use the ASUS ROG Strix G15 gaming laptop, and I must say that it is a beast of a machine.

The laptop is a part of Asus’s mid-range lineup of performance and gaming laptops, and it is designed to deliver powerful performance, making it an excellent choice for gamers and content creators.

The 2022 ROG Strix G15 G513RW configuration pairs an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor with 16 GB of DDR5 memory, an RTX 3070 Ti graphics chip, and a QHD fast and high-gamut display.

This combination of hardware offers an excellent gaming experience, with fast and smooth gameplay and stunning visuals. Additionally, the laptop has two accessible memory DIMMs and two M.2 SSD slots, making it easy to upgrade and expand.

One thing that sets the Strix G15 apart from its competitors is its design. The laptop is compact, but at the same time, it is fairly thick and heavy, giving it a sturdy and robust feel.

The keyboard is similar to the one on the ROG Strix Scar, with standard rubber-dome switches, and the keys are RGB backlit, with per-key control and various effects selectable in the Armoury Crate and Aura Creator control apps.

The F1-F12 writing on the top keys is still not lit on this implementation, making them difficult to figure out in the dark. The clickpad is large, responsive, and centered in the middle of the chassis.

ASUS offers two screen options for the 2022 ROG Strix G15 series, both of which are 15.6-inch, matte, and non-touch.

The options are FHD 300Hz 3ms with 300+ nits of brightness and 100% sRGB colors, and QHD 240Hz 3ms with 300+ nits of brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colors.

The QHD panel is excellent for daily and creative use, with wide gamut coverage and good color accuracy, and it is also a solid option for gaming, with fast refresh rates and response times and Adaptive-Sync to prevent tearing.

One potential drawback of the Strix G15 is that the screen leans back to about 110-degrees, which can be limiting for couch or lap use.

Additionally, the Gamma and White Point of the QHD panel are skewed out of the box, so the panel requires calibration for color-accurate work.

In terms of performance, the Strix G15 excels. The Ryzen 9 6900HX is an AMD Rembrandt 6000 processor with 8 Cores and 16 Threads, built on the updated Zen3+ 6 nm technology, with improvements in design, IPC, and efficiency.

The laptop offers up to 150W with Dynamic Boost in supported games and applications. This allows for excellent multi-threaded performance and fast gameplay.

In conclusion, I believe that the ASUS ROG Strix G15 is an excellent choice for gamers and content creators. Its powerful hardware, sleek design, and impressive display make it a top performer in its category.

Moreover, I recommend this laptop for playing Genshin Impact, as the RTX 3070 Ti graphics chip and QHD display make for an immersive gaming experience. Overall, the Strix G15 is an impressive laptop that delivers excellent performance and an excellent gaming experience.

Firstly, the laptop’s ultra-slim and stylish design immediately caught my eye. The CNC milled aluminum body and door scissor hinges give it a luxurious and modern feel, making it perfect for taking it to gaming conventions or showing off to friends.

When it comes to gaming performance, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus S did not disappoint. With 16GB of RAM, I experienced smooth gameplay without any stuttering or lag

I tested the laptop’s performance by playing genshin impact at max settings, and it handled it with ease, mostly within the Max-Q range of real-world gaming performance.

The laptop also boasts a 1TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD for plenty of storage space. This feature allowed me to store multiple games without worrying about running out of space.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus S has a dedicated cooling system to prevent overheating, even under heavy loads. This feature is essential for gaming laptops as they tend to heat up quickly.

The backlit keyboard is durable and has anti-ghosting technology with a 20-million keystroke durability rating. This feature is crucial for gamers who need to hit multiple keys quickly and accurately during gameplay.

One drawback of the ASUS ROG Zephyrus S is that it does not have a built-in webcam. This feature might not be a dealbreaker for some, but for gamers who need to communicate while gaming online, it can be inconvenient.

In terms of how this laptop has evolved from previous models, I found that the dedicated cooling system and the backlit keyboard with anti-ghosting technology were new features that were not available on previous models. These features make a significant difference when it comes to gaming performance.

03- Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3

Specifications Description
ProcessorAMD Ryzen 5 5600H
Graphics CardNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650
RAM8GB
Storage256GB Storage
Display15.6″ FHD

As someone who has used the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 gaming laptop, I must say that it is a great choice for gamers who are on a tight budget. At a price under $800, this laptop offers an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU, which is great for playing most games e.g. Call Of Duty Warzone at decent settings.

However, it must be noted that the 4GB VRAM of the GPU limits the capability of playing certain games at more demanding levels.

One of the most significant drawbacks of the laptop is its display. The 15-inch 1920×1080 pixel display is not very impressive, with colors appearing washed out and lacking pop.

Additionally, it reproduces only 42.3% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, putting it below the category average. However, the laptop’s display boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, which is a plus point.

The laptop’s sound system is surprisingly impressive, reproducing powerfully with fantastic vocal performance. The laptop comes with Nahimic by SteelSeries, which lets users make in-depth changes to the laptop’s audio settings.

The laptop’s default sound settings are Music, Movie, Communication, Gaming, and Smart.

The IdeaPad Gaming 3’s battery life is surprisingly healthy, lasting 6 hours and 49 minutes on the Laptop Mag battery test, making it an enormous improvement over HP Victus 15 and Acer Nitro 5.

The laptop’s exterior is plastic with an Onyx Gray finish, with a Lenovo logo embedded in the bottom right corner of the lid. The laptop measures 14.2 x 10.5 x 0.9 inches and weighs 5.1 pounds, which is similar to its competitors in weight and size.

In terms of performance, the IdeaPad Gaming 3 sacrifices performance and visual fidelity but is a decent choice for those looking to save money.

The laptop managed around 100 fps on Doom Eternal at lower graphics settings. On Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, the IdeaPad 3 performed below the category average but better than HP Victus 15.

Grand Theft Auto V at 1080p averaged 54 fps, beating HP Victus 15 but falling below the category average and Acer Nitro 5.

The IdeaPad 3’s 65 fps on Far Cry New Dawn was the worst among the three laptops tested. Red Dead Redemption 2 was challenging for the IdeaPad 3, barely hitting the playability minimum. The IdeaPad 3 performed poorly on Metro: Exodus with an average of 23 fps.

The laptop is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 6600H CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of SSD storage. The IdeaPad 3 scored 6,316 on the Geekbench 5.4 overall performance test, falling behind the HP Victus 15 and Acer Nitro 5.

The laptop took 8 minutes and 8 seconds to transcode a 4K video to 1080p. The IdeaPad 3 performed poorly in the file transfer test compared to its competitors.

Overall, the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 is a budget gaming laptop that requires making some performance and visual fidelity sacrifices.

However, it is a worthwhile contender despite performing below average in every test. The laptop is a great choice for playing games like Genshin Impact, with its RTX 3050 GPU providing good performance at decent settings

PROS

  • Affordable price point for a gaming laptop under $800.
  • Comes with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU, providing good performance for most games.

  • Healthy battery life of 6 hours and 49 minutes on the Laptop Mag battery test.
  • Lightweight and similar in size to its competitors.
  • Offers a 120Hz refresh rate on its display.
  • Good performance for games like Genshin Impact.

CONS

  • The 4GB VRAM of the GPU limits the capability of playing certain games at more demanding levels.
  • The 15-inch 1920×1080 pixel display has poor color reproduction, putting it below the category average.

04- MSI GF65 Thin – Best Laptop That Can Run Genshin Impact Smoothly

Specifications Description
ProcessorIntel Core i7-10750H 6 Core
Graphics CardNVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
RAM16 GB
Display15.6″ 144Hz FHD 1080p
Storage512GB NVMe SSD

I can confidently say that MSI GF65 Thin is an excellent choice for gamers who want a powerful machine that doesn’t break the bank.

The laptop’s design is sleek and modern, with a brushed aluminum top and subtle accents that give it a premium look and feel. It’s also thin and portable, making it easy to take with you wherever you go.

But what really sets this laptop apart from its competitors is its performance. With an Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics card, 144Hz screen, and fast NVMe drive, it can handle modern games with ease, delivering impressive frame rates and visuals without getting too hot or noisy.

During my tests, I found that the laptop performed well across a range of games, often achieving frame rates over 100fps. The 15.6-inch Full HD screen is also well-balanced, with a fast refresh rate that strikes a good balance between performance and visuals.

The laptop also has good connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and an Ethernet port. However, I did find the limited number of USB-A and USB-C ports on the right-hand side to be a bit limiting when it came to peripherals.

The backlit keyboard with red LEDs worked well for both gaming and typing, although I did miss having media playback buttons. The laptop’s speakers were also surprisingly good, blocking out most fan noise.

On the downside, the laptop’s battery life wasn’t great, with a realistic estimate of around three hours of use. And while the webcam was a welcome addition, the trackpad left something to be desired, with a lot of play and wobble in the buttons.

Overall, the MSI GF65 Thin gaming laptop is an impressive machine that offers excellent value for its price point. It’s powerful, portable, and capable of running most modern games with ease. If you’re looking for a laptop that can run Genshin Impact smoothly, this is definitely the one to consider.

Based on my research and first-hand experience, I would highly recommend this laptop to anyone in the market for a gaming laptop. Its performance, design, and connectivity options are top-notch, and while there are a few minor drawbacks, they are easily outweighed by the many benefits of this machine.

  • Short battery life of around three hours.

05- Acer Nitro 5

Specifications Description
Processor9th Gen Intel Core i5-9300H
Graphics CardNVIDIA GeForce GTX 165
RAM8GB DDR4
Display15.6″ Full HD IPS
Storage256GB NVMe SSD

First things first, the Nitro 5 is powered by a Ryzen 7 5800H processor and an RTX 3070 (Max Q) graphics card, a combination that is popular among gaming laptops.

This combination ensures smooth and steady frame rates, even in demanding games like Genshin Impact. The 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD provides fast read and write speeds, making loading times shorter.

Additionally, the laptop’s 2.5 drive bay allows for additional storage, making it a cost-effective option for those who need more space.

When it comes to design, the Nitro 5 has a plain and no-nonsense look, with a sturdy metal cover. While it’s not the most stylish laptop out there, the focus is clearly on performance rather than aesthetics.

The 165Hz, 1440p display is great for fast-paced games like shooters, and makes a huge difference in competitive gaming, improving aim and reaction times.

However, it’s worth noting that the screen’s brightness may not be as high as advertised, and it may not be as bright as other gaming laptops in the same price range.

In terms of performance, the Nitro 5 is definitely a mid-range gaming laptop that can handle most games. However, it underperforms in benchmarks for games like F1 2020 and Metro Exodus.

Battery life is also underwhelming, with only 85 minutes of use, so it’s necessary to stay plugged in for longer gaming sessions. The laptop’s build quality could also be improved, as the chassis feels flimsy and not as durable in case of accidental drops.

Now, let’s talk about why I believe the Acer Nitro 5 is the best gaming laptop for playing Genshin Impact.

First of all, the powerful combination of the RTX 3070 and Ryzen Ryzen 7 5800H ensures smooth and steady frame rates, even in demanding games like Genshin Impact.

The inclusion of a speedy SSD adds to the overall gaming experience, making loading times shorter. The 165Hz display is ideal for fast-paced games like Genshin Impact, and the laptop’s hardware is capable of handling the game at high settings. Playing at 1080p with G-Sync enabled is recommended for the best experience.

In conclusion, the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-45-R7S0 is a great mid-range gaming laptop that can handle most games.

While it may not have the best battery life or build quality, its powerful hardware and high refresh rate display make it ideal for competitive gaming. If you’re looking for a gaming laptop that can handle Genshin Impact, the Nitro 5 is definitely worth considering.

Just make sure to look for a better battery life and build quality if those are important factors for you.

PROS

  • Powerful combination of Ryzen 7 5800H processor and RTX 3070 graphics card ensures smooth and steady frame rates, even in demanding games.
  • 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD provides fast read and write speeds, making loading times shorter.
  • 2.5 drive bay allows for additional storage, making it a cost-effective option for those who need more space.
  • 165Hz, 1440p display is great for fast-paced games and improves aim and reaction times.
  • Great mid-range gaming laptop that can handle most games.
  • Ideal for competitive gaming due to powerful hardware and high refresh rate display.
  • Cost-effective option for those who need additional storage.

CONS

  • Build quality could be improved, as the chassis feels flimsy and not as durable in case of accidental drops.

06- HP Pavilion 15

Specifications Description
ProcessorAMD Ryzen 5-4600H
Graphics CardGeForce GTX 1650
RAM32GB RAM
Display/Screen15.6 FHD
Storage1TB HDD+1TB SSD

The high-spec hardware, including 16GB RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 4th-gen AMD Ryzen 7 processor, provides a snappy feel and helps HP Pavilion 15it keep up easily with day-to-day desktop tasks.

Additionally, the laptop comes with a touch-screen 15.3-inch FHD display, which is surprisingly thin and stiff for a plastic-cased laptop.

The screen is topped out at 1,920, which is decent but not spectacular, and it is made a little bulkier by the subtle protective black rim around the edges.

One of the standout features of this laptop is its attractive, slim case that looks pricier than it is. While it is not as thin as the LG Gram or MacBook Air, it has its own subtly dense design that is unique.

The keyboard is comfortable and has a natural full-width ten key layout with decent key travel, while the trackpad has a convincing click and a fingerprint reader on the wrist rest.

However, the HP Pavilion 15 is not designed for gaming and does not offer much in the way of gaming performance. It relies on the integrated Radeon Graphics solution, which cannot offer much in the way of gaming performance.

It can cope with esports titles provided they’re dialled down a little, but anything more significant will be too much of an ask.

In terms of ports, the laptop provides more than adequate power without requiring too much in the way of cooling or compromise.

It comes with a decent amount of port provision, including a USB Type-A socket on each side, a multi-function Type-C connector on the left, a full-size HDMI output, and a built-in microSD reader.

One area where this laptop falls short is the lack of backlighting on the keyboard. Additionally, the laptop’s design is not poorly designed, but it does have a slight bump to the base.

Overall, I think the HP Pavilion 15 is a strong contender for a place on the best laptops list. While it is not the best option for gaming, it provides more than enough power for day-to-day tasks and has an attractive design.

The laptop’s Ryzen 7 4700U mobile processor is still a fantastic mobile processor, and the solid B&O tuned sound system is impressive.

When it comes to Genshin Impact, the HP Pavilion 15 is the best gaming laptop for it because it has a high-spec hardware that provides a snappy feel, which is necessary for this game.

It also has a decent-sized multi-touch trackpad, which is helpful for playing games. While the laptop’s integrated Radeon Graphics solution is not the best for gaming, it can still cope with esports titles that are dialled down a little. Moreover, the laptop simply refuses to get too hot, even when pushed to the limits.

PROS

  • High-spec hardware with 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and 4th-gen AMD Ryzen 7 processor provides a snappy feel for day-to-day tasks.
  • Touch-screen 15.3-inch FHD display is surprisingly thin and stiff for a plastic-cased laptop.
  • Attractive and slim design looks pricier than it is.
  • Comfortable full-width keyboard with a natural layout and decent key travel.
  • Adequate port provision including USB Type-A and Type-C sockets, HDMI output, and a built-in microSD reader.
  • Can cope with esports titles provided they’re dialled down a little.
  • Doesn’t overheat even when pushed to the limits.

CONS

  • Lack of backlighting on the keyboard and a slight bump to the base of the laptop.

07- LG gram 17Z90Q

Specifications Description
ProcessorIntel Evo 12th Gen i7 1260P 4.7GHz
Graphics Card‎Intel Iris Plus
RAM16GB LPDDR5
Display‎2560 x 1600 Pixels IPS
Storage1TB NVMe SSD

Firstly, the LG gram 17Z90Q laptop is an upgrade from the 2021 version. The processor is a 12th generation Intel Core CPU paired with speedy LPDDR5 memory, making it a very fast laptop even with an integrated GPU.

The storage subsystem has been upgraded to PCIe Gen 4.0, and the laptop comes with Windows 11 as the default operating system. This means that the laptop is ready for any demanding task, including gaming.

The anti-glare IPS display of the LG gram 17Z90Q is another feature that sets it apart from its competitors. With a 17-inch full HD webcam and LG Glance, the display is perfect for gaming and productivity tasks alike.

The laptop adheres to the strict MIL-STD-810g requirements, making it a durable and long-lasting device.

One of the most significant benefits of the LG gram 17Z90Q is its weight. It is the lightest laptop in its category, making it an excellent option for digital nomads and business travelers. The chassis is made of magnesium-alloy, which makes it tough and a good heat dissipater.

The LG Gram 17Z90Q is not just a gaming laptop; it is also a great option for business purposes. The laptop has a full-size keyboard with a numeric keypad, and the touchpad is larger than normal.

The laptop has a full-size HDMI 2.0 port, an audio connector, and two Thunderbolt 4 inputs, making it a well-rounded device for all purposes.

However, the laptop does have some drawbacks. The LG Gram 16 has a lower price and a better battery life than the LG Gram 17. It is a more balanced purchase, especially as a business laptop.

The backlit keyboard is adequate but uninspiring, and the key travel is shallower than on a business laptop. The touchpad is also big but without any physical buttons.

In my opinion, the LG gram 17Z90Q is the best gaming laptop for Genshin Impact. The single-thread performance of the Core i7-1260P ranks amongst the best, and the multi-thread performance is outstanding considering its form factor.

The Samsung SSD is a speedy one, hitting more than 6.3GBps and nearly 5GBps on sustained read/write in CrystalDisk Mark. The laptop’s display has a 350 nits brightness with a 1200:1 contrast ratio and DCI-P3 99% color gamut, making it perfect for gaming.

In conclusion, the LG gram 17Z90Q is a premium product that carries a relatively high price. However, it is a great investment for anyone looking for a durable and fast laptop for gaming and productivity tasks.

It has evolved from previous models, and its weight and performance set it apart from its competitors. Overall, I highly recommend the LG gram 17Z90Q for digital nomads, business travelers, and gamers alike.

PROS

  • Fast performance with 12th generation Intel Core CPU and LPDDR5 memory.
  • Upgraded storage subsystem with PCIe Gen 4.0 and Windows 11 operating system.
  • Anti-glare IPS display with 17-inch full HD webcam and LG Glance for gaming and productivity tasks.
  • Durable and long-lasting device that adheres to MIL-STD-810g requirements.
  • Lightweight with a magnesium-alloy chassis, making it an excellent option for digital nomads and business travelers.
  • Full-size keyboard with numeric keypad and larger touchpad than normal.
  • Well-rounded device with full-size HDMI 2.0 port, audio connector, and two Thunderbolt 4 inputs.

CONS

  • Higher price compared to LG Gram 16, which has better battery life and is a more balanced purchase for business purposes.
  • Adequate but uninspiring backlit keyboard with shallower key travel, and touchpad without physical buttons.

08- Acer Predator Helios 300

Specifications Description
Processor7th Generation Intel Core i7 Processor 2.8GHz
Graphics CardGeForce GTX 1060-6GB
RAM16GB DDR4 RAM
Display15.6″ Full HD IPS

The Acer Predator Helios 300 laptop boasts a sleek black aluminum design with an illuminated Predator logo on the lid, making it stand out in a crowd.

But beyond just its looks, the Predator Helios 300 performs exceptionally well. Its high refresh rate screen of 144Hz makes it perfect for playing fast-paced games like Genshin Impact. In fact, I played Genshin Impact on it and was amazed by how smooth and immersive the gaming experience was.

The laptop also comes equipped with the PredatorSense utility, which can be launched with a special key. This utility allows you to monitor system temperatures and toggle settings, making it incredibly easy to keep an eye on your system while gaming.

But the Predator Helios 300 isn’t just for gaming. It also performs well in office-centric tasks such as word processing, spreadsheeting, web browsing, and videoconferencing. I found that the laptop ran smoothly even when I had multiple applications open at once.

In terms of performance, the laptop exceeded my expectations. I ran the Full System Drive test to assess the load time and throughput of the laptop’s storage, and it performed exceptionally well.

The CPU and graphics performance are great, making it perfect for processor-intensive workloads and gaming simulations. It also performed exceptionally well in real-game performance tests, further highlighting its power.

One thing to note, however, is that the laptop’s keyboard shows some flex under pressure, which can be a bit annoying when typing.

Additionally, the thick bezels around the screen make the laptop look a bit dated, and the screen color saturation and brightness could be improved. These are minor issues, though, and do not detract from the overall performance of the laptop.

Overall, I would highly recommend the Acer Predator Helios 300 to anyone looking for a top-notch gaming laptop. Its impressive performance, graphics, and battery life make it stand out from its competitors.

And for gamers looking to play Genshin Impact, this laptop is perfect. Its high refresh rate screen and powerful CPU and graphics make it ideal for playing this game at its best.

CONS

  • Keyboard shows some flex under pressure when typing.
  • Thick bezels around the screen make the laptop look a bit dated and screen color saturation and brightness could be improved.

Features To Consider When Buying a Laptop for Genshin Impact

If you’re a fan of Genshin Impact, you understand the game’s high-performance demands on your laptop. To ensure that you have an immersive and enjoyable gaming experience, you need to consider the following features when buying a laptop for Genshin Impact:

Processor:

The processor is the brain of your laptop, and it’s essential for gaming. You need a processor with a clock speed of at least 2.5GHz that can handle high-performance demands and provide smooth gameplay. Recommended processors for Genshin Impact include Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7.

Graphics card:

A powerful graphics card is essential for an immersive gaming experience. Genshin Impact requires a graphics card with at least 4GB of VRAM to run smoothly.

Recommended graphics cards for Genshin Impact include Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580.

Memory:

Memory is also an important feature to consider when buying a laptop for Genshin Impact. Your laptop should have at least 8GB of RAM to handle the game’s requirements.

However, if you want to play the game on higher settings, you might want to consider getting a laptop with 16GB of RAM.

Storage:

Storage is also an essential feature. Genshin Impact requires a minimum of 30GB of storage space. However, it’s always better to have extra storage for other games and files.

A laptop with a solid-state drive (SSD) is recommended as it provides faster load times and boot-up speeds.

Battery:

Battery life is also a factor to consider. Gaming laptops consume a lot of power, and you don’t want your laptop to die in the middle of a game. A battery life of at least 6 hours is recommended for Genshin Impact.

Display:

Display is crucial for an immersive gaming experience. You want a display that’s big enough to provide a clear view of the game world.

A 15.6-inch display is a good size, and a resolution of at least 1920×1080 is recommended. A high refresh rate of 120Hz or more is also ideal.
